The best way to get on to the Tek RMD
There is no such thing as the perfect product. Any product has to meet the individual requirements and preferences of the user. However, the Tek RMD is an exceptional, one-of-a-kind type of product, that allows people with lower limb paralysis or weakness to stand and move around in an upright position. It was designed with paraplegia due to a spinal cord injury in mind, but recent enhancements have extended the appeal to those with other neurological conditions.
A fundamental issue in getting the best out of the Tek RMD is being able to get on and of it safely and effectively. In this article we review the most commonly used approaches
What percentage of stroke patients make a full recovery?
Stroke can be a devastating and life-altering condition that affects a significant number of individuals each year. It can cause permanent damage to the brain, leading to long-term health consequences for patients, their families, and caregivers. As healthcare professionals, it's important for us to understand the recovery rate for stroke patients so that we can educate patients and their families on the outcomes they may expect. In this blog, we'll explore what percentage of stroke patients make a full recovery, what factors affect recovery, and what healthcare professionals can do to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dont Back Down: A new book
Company director Derek Jones has a few years (actually decades) of experience working face to face with people following a spinal cord injury. His new book is aimed at newly injured persons and titled “Dont Back Down: Your guide to living well with a spinal cord injury”. It’s now available on Amazon as a paperback and Kindle book.
The content is a broad ranging and empowering guide to getting life back on track after a spinal cord injury.
Electrotherapy Concepts.

The stories of applying electrical energy to the body for therapeutic purposes have sometimes stretched the imagination, have sometimes inspired quackery but also produced some fantastic results along the way. In simple terms, the aim is to deliver electrical energy to the tissues of the body in a precisely controlled manner, that will bring about physiological change and by this means achieve some therapeutic benefit.
Who would use a Tek RMD?
The Tek RMD is a great option for those with paraplegia following a spinal cord injury. If the user has good arm and hand function the product provides all the benefits of standing plus the ability to move, sit and stand freely int he indoor environment.
Using the Stimulette Edition 5 with denervated muscles
The Stimulette Edition 5 supports a wide variety of electrotherapy waveforms that are useful for muscle weakness, pain and paralysis.
