654SKG - Dynamic Dorsi Assist
Adult Standard Kodel G-Metal

The sophisticated DDA Orthosis is designed to dynamically stretch the gastroc muscles, offsetting equinus contractures. The use of a series of posterior articulations allows for a virtually unrestricted range of plantar or dorsiflexion. The DDATM Orthosis also provides nearly unlimited inversion or eversion of the ankle/foot complex.

Like all of our posterior upright AFO designs, any pressure to the heel and the medial/lateral aspects of the malleoli are eliminated, and the patient can be safely and quickly ambulated, improving the patient’s rehabilitation potential. The device is suitable for left and right feet and adjusts to various foot and lower limb sizes.

The liner can be cleaned regularly, and/or replaced to refresh the orthosis.

654SKG Features

All PRAFO are made with a a rotation control bar to eliminate inversion or eversion when the patient is recumbent.

Applications

The PRAFO is a versatile orthosis which is advised for use over a wide range of clinical applications. The below examples are not exhaustive, but give you an indication of when you might choose a PRAFO.

Pressure Ulcers

The PRAFO ankle foot range of devices ensure zero pressure and shear at the heel - eliminating the main cause of ulceration and providing the essential mechanical environment for healing.

Diabetes

When we look at the consequences for the NHS we know that the average length of hospital stay for a patient with a diabetic foot ulcer is 13 days longer than someone without. Foot ulceration is easily preventable and treatable with a PRAFO.
